As time goes on so does the concern about what could amount to a pandemic flu situation possibly all over the world. Doctors and researchers have shown that the future could bring some really tough times on people throughout the world if the mutation of this virus continues.
Bird flu viruses typically do not usually infect humans, but some confirmed cases of human infection from several subtypes of bird flu viruses have occurred in the last 9 years. Most cases of avian influenza infection in people have resulted from direct or close contact with infected poultry like domesticated chicken, ducks, and turkeys or surfaces contaminated with secretions and excretions from these infected birds.

The spread of avian influenza viruses from an ill person to another person has been rarely reported, and the transmission of it has not been observed to continue beyond a small group of closely associated individuals. While there is an outbreak of avian influenza among poultry, there is a possible risk to the people who have direct or close contact with infected birds, or with surfaces that have been contaminated with secretions and excretions from them.
